Theology and Faith

I am one of the most liberal Christian ministers you will ever find.  Although I have a fairly complex set of beliefs and a fairly comprehensive personal theology (see link below), I believe Jesus meant it when he said to love and worship God, and to love and care for your neighbor in much the same way you'd want someone to care for you.  We frequently make it more complicated than necessary.  It is our human nature.

My theology is wildly inclusive.  I am able to reconcile an infinite God with the vagaries of human limitations.  So I have no problem with the mysteries of sin and salvation, nor with the apparent paradoxes of science and faith.  In all things, God's will prevails - it matters not one bit that I may not understand it or agree with it.
If you MUST catagorize me (feel free to do so) I am a process theologian, with very stong views about the importance of Christian mysticism and the theology and process of very, very early Christendom.  If you don't understand that, don't worry.  Christianity is faith and feeling, not dissection.

For many, many years I was a pastor in the Pennsylvania Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada.
I served several churches

Fairhill Manor, Washington, PA - Associate Minister
Clarksville Christian, Clarksville, PA - Sr. Minister
First Christian, Mariannia, PA - Sr. Minister
Taylorstown Christian, Taylorstown, PA - Co-Pastor (with my wife, also a minister)

I now am part of the Christian Church Capital Area Region, and have served pulpit supply and as the interim minister at Springfield Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), in Springfield, Virginia.

I now serve a congregation in Landover, Maryland, just outside the Washington, DC city line.
LANDOVER CHRISTIAN CHURCH (Disciples of Christ) is a mid-sized, multi-racial, multi-cultural church family.  They are very warm and welcoming.  It is a very diverse church family, in terms of age, employment and geographic location.  They can be accessed on the web at:

It is important that pastors prioritize sharing the Word
higher than just making folks feel the warm-fuzzies.
